  senior high cross country finals in Gold Bar Park in Edmonton, Oct. 5          

  Advancing to provincials are Will Madsen (1st in senior boys, 6000m), Kyle Sawyer (18th in senior boys, 
  6000m), Connor MacDonald (3rd in intermediate boys, 5000m), and Tate MacDonald (7th in junior boys,
  4000m). Provincials are Oct 15th in Elkwater at Eagle Butte High School. Congratulations to coaches Nisbet,
  Stevenson, and Gower.  
In an effort to foster water awareness, McNally High School had about 350 students walk Thursday from 
  the school to the Kinsemen Centre with empty milk jugs, which they filled with water from the North
  Saskatchewan River. The students carried the jugs back to McNally, pouring them into the river from the
  nearby Dawson Bridge. The point of the exercise was to give them a better appreciation of water use and
  conservation, both here and in other parts of the world.                                               EDMONTON JOURNAL Congratulations to the Jr Boys Volleyball Team.
